Candace Opper’s work has appeared in Guernica, Longreads, Brevity, Creative Nonfiction, LitHub, Vestoj, Bitch, and BUST, among others. She has an MFA from Portland State University and is the former producer and co-host of Late Night Love Affair, a beloved podcast about books written by women. Her first nonfiction manuscript, “Certain and Impossible Events,” was selected by Cheryl Strayed as the winner of the Kore Press 2nd annual Memoir Award and will be published in 2019. On most days she is busy writing essays about her preoccupations, hanging out with her kid, or working at the Film Pittsburgh office where she is the Communications Manager. She writes and lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and son.
